Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, learn through Key Learning Experiences, and gain hands-on experience within store, district, and regional operations.

You will support the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment, compassionate patient service, and ongoing development toward pharmacist responsibilities while adhering to SOPs and

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
• Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists and technicians manage and improve patient health
• Assist with pharmacy workflow procedures to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Counsel patients and field medical questions while maintaining patient privacy and safety
• Support inventory activities and cycle counts as directed by pharmacy leadership
• Deliver immunizations or point-of-care testing where permitted by law and training
