Wieland North America, Inc in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Rolling Operator to safely and efficiently operate Sendzimir Z-mills on the on-site third shift, monitoring materials and machine parameters to ensure specifications are met.

The role requires 3-5 years of rolling mill experience, basic math skills, and a strong safety mindset; candidates must be able to read and write English and work with hand tools and measurement devices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3-5 years' experience running Sendzimir Z-mill or similar rolling machinery.
• Ability to read and write English and perform simple math.
• Mechanically inclined with good hand tools skills.
• Strong attention to safety rules and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow Work Instructions for equipment.
• Set up and operate Sendzimir Z-mills; monitor material and machine parameters.
• Determine proper roll combinations to achieve desired shape and finish.
• Move material using forklifts or other handling equipment.
• Direct one or more helpers to maximize uptime and quality.
• Perform light maintenance on machines and report issues.
