Job summary

NFI is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager I for the Elwood, IL area to lead daily warehouse operations and a team of supervisors and staff on the 3rd shift (M-F 10pm–6am). The role emphasizes labor planning, safety, and cost-effective facility utilization, reporting to the General Manager of the Distribution Center.

Key responsibilities include directing warehouse leaders, managing inbound/outbound shipments, and implementing action plans to meet productivity and service goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
• Willingness to become certified in OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develops a strategic plan with the General Manager to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
• Directs the operations of warehouse supervisors and personnel.
• Oversees inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Plans long-term labor needs based on sales, forecasts, and data.
• Maintains staffing levels and conducts pre-shift meetings.
