Job summary

NFI Industries in Elwood, IL is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager I to lead day-to-day warehouse activities on a 3rd shift, driving efficiency and safety across a 100,000–500,000 sq. ft. facility.

You will manage supervisors, align staffing with workload, and push continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires 5+ years of supervisory warehouse experience, knowledge of WMS systems (Manhattan preferred), and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse/distribution.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to priorities.
• Willingness to obtain certifications in OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic plans with GM to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation.
• Directs warehouse supervisors and personnel to meet goals and schedules.
• Oversees inbound/outbound shipments ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Plans long-term labor needs based on sales forecasts and data.
