Job summary

NFI in Joliet seeks a Warehouse Operations Manager I to lead day-to-day warehouse activities, manage personnel, and implement action plans for a facility of 100,000–500,000 sq ft.

You will develop strategic plans with the General Manager, oversee inbound/outbound shipments, scheduling, safety, and staff development, with a base salary range and a discretionary bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse/distribution.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
• Strong Microsoft Office and operational software familiarity.
• Willingness to learn OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT/FDA regulations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic plan with General Manager to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation.
• Oversees inbound/outbound shipments and scheduling to meet goals.
• Directs warehouse supervisors and personnel to achieve objectives.
• Audit compliance with internal/external SOPs and safety standards.
• Plans long-term labor needs based on forecasts and data.
