Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an Electrician in Lake Orion, MI to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/instrumentation/control systems across large-scale manufacturing facilities. This hands-on role focuses on maximizing wrench time and ensuring reliable operation of industrial electrical equipment and power distribution, while collaborating with maintenance teams and client operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or state equivalent.
Two years of electrical trade schooling or equivalent training.
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification, or willing to obtain within 90 days.
Strong knowledge of electrical/instrumentation/control systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and local electrical codes.
Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, ladders, and lift heavy loads.
Available for call-in work 24 hours per day and able to work overtime, weekends, and pre/post scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/instrumentation/control building equipment and systems in large manufacturing facilities.
Plan and execute assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical apparatus and power distribution systems.
Diagnose and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties while reading blueprints and schematics.
Anticipate potential electrical problems and take proactive actions to maximize facility uptime.
Document work in CMMS with hours and completion details by deadlines.
Interact with clients and maintenance staff to ensure safe, compliant approaches.
Maintain safe, clean work area and adhere to safety rules.
