Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Test Technician for the 3rd shift at our Argyle Test Lab in Jackson, MI. The role involves hands-on testing of prototype and production hardware to verify customer specifications, data collection, and presenting results to the internal lab customer.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, US citizenship, and a minimum of three years in a related testing environment. A technical associate degree is preferred. Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• U.S. Citizenship required; no immigration sponsorship.
• Within 50-mile radius of Jackson, MI; relocation not offered.
• Minimum of three years in product development, a test lab, or manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Review procedures and schematics to determine appropriate test equipment and data collection.
• Test per specifications: mechanical/hydraulic setup, instrumentation and data collection, review of test results and data storage.
• Maintain a safe working environment and design safety into every test and activity.
• Collect and verify accuracy of testing data.
• Communicate test results or anomalies to the requestor.
