Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Electrical Test Technician - 3rd Shift in Santa Ana, CA. This full-time 32.5-hour weekly role offers benefits from day one and a $29.80 base hourly rate plus a $3.00 shift premium per hour. The position runs 10pm–5am with potential overtime.

The ideal candidate will perform system tests, troubleshoot electrical problems, and document results while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of electrical test or related electronics experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available; only candidates within 50 miles will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to the component level.
• Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards.
• Organize work by receiving work requests; studying wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Testing systems and electrical components; determining cause of problems and requirements to solve problems.
• Use test equipment including digital meter, current meter, out of phase transformer, variac transformer resistive load bank, hi-pot tester, current clamp, computer, and infrared camera.

The Electrical Test Technician- 3rd Shift role offers a full time work week of 32.5 hours and potential overtime.

Hours:10pm - 5am. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.80 plus $3.00 shift premium per hour.

What you’ll do:

Qualifications:

Required (Basic):

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
• 2 years of experience in electrical test or related electronic technologies field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred:

• Associates degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology
• Prior training with electrical equipment and testing procedures Read and understand one-line drawings, wire lists, and schematics
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Understanding of delta-wye 3 phase transformer and resistive load bank technology

Skills:

• May be required to sit, stand and walk on a regular basis. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds throughout work shift.
• May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.
