Job summary

Eaton’s Argyle Test Lab in Jackson, MI is seeking a Test Technician for the 3rd shift. The role tests prototype and production hardware to customer specs, determining data needs and selecting test methods, materials, fixtures and equipment, and presenting data to the internal lab customer.

Responsibilities include reviewing procedures, conducting tests per specifications, ensuring safety, collecting data, and communicating results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Based on government requirements for the program this role will be supporting, applicants must be a US Citizen for consideration (no dual citizenship).
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in a technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in product development, an engineering test lab, or a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review test procedures and schematics to determine appropriate test equipment, instrumentation and data collection.
• Perform testing in accordance with test specifications - including mechanical / hydraulic test setup, instrumentation & data collection, review of test results, and sample / data storage.
• Maintain a safe working environment. Abide by all safety requirements and guarding. Design safety into every test and activity.
• Collect and verify accuracy of testing data.
• Communicate test results or anomalies to the requestor.
