Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled technician to support engineering development and qualification tests on aircraft components and systems. You will set up test stands, run diagnostics, record results, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies to component level.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, following instructions, and maintaining documentation while working on a 3rd shift cycle. Onsite work in a manufacturing environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Experience with electronics troubleshooting.
• Experience with schematics or blueprints.
• Experience with using multimeters, oscilloscope, and/or spectrum analyzer.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with cross-functional groups, including Engineering and Manufacturing, to support routine technical activities and resolve production or testing issues.
• Sets up, configures, and operates test stands and test equipment; performs testing, interprets and records results, and identifies equipment failures.
• Uses diagnostic tools and electrical measurements to troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair electronic/electromechanical units to the sub-assembly and component level.
• Reads and interprets technical documentation, including engineering drawings, schematics, component maintenance manuals, drawings, and work instructions.
• Performs troubleshooting, calibration, modification, and evaluation of hardware, fixtures, equipment, and related systems, including investigation of non-conformances.
