Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Electrical Test Technician for the 3rd shift at the Oakley Ct site in Richmond, VA. The role involves testing and modifying electrical equipment post-production and ensuring proper test procedures before shipment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years in electrical test or related electronics, preferably in manufacturing. Associates degree preferred. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
• 1-3 years of experience in electrical test or related electronic technologies field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Test and/or modify electrical equipment post-production, prior to shipment to customers.
• Inspect product functions and monitor test procedures.
• Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in complex systems.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to component level.
• Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards.
• Organize work by receiving work requests; study wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Test systems and electrical components; determine causes and solutions.
