Job summary

Shank’s Extracts, LLC d/b/a Universal Ingredients – Shank’s is hiring a 3rd Shift Production Team Leader in Lancaster, PA to guide production line teams and uphold GMP and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, exposure to ERP scheduling, and the ability to maintain quality while meeting production goals.

• Team leading certificate.
• Team Leading, Coaching, Production Planning and Scheduling, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Problem Solving/Analysis, Results Driven, Communication Proficiency, Time Management.
• Experience meeting production schedules.
• Ability to operate all production equipment in the department.
• Ability to develop strong production teams, maintain employee retention and safety, and keep areas clean.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Interpersonal skills for diverse staff and stakeholders.
• Responsible for company facilities, equipment and assets.
• Team oriented but capable of independent work.
• Able to handle repetitive tasks, detail oriented, self-motivated, organized, and using good judgment.
• English comprehension (speaking, reading, writing) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead production line team members and provide supervision.
• Uphold GMP, record keeping, sanitation, and equipment verification.
• Train and develop staff; monitor attendance; assist supervisor with hiring.
• Resolve personnel issues; find solutions and implement actions.
• Support supervisor and cover duties when absent.
• Promote clear communication between workers and management.
• Prepare schedules and shift orders using ERP; assign duties.
• Monitor workflow, inventory, equipment, and process controls; drive improvements.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained across shifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
