Shank’s Extracts, LLC d/b/a Universal Ingredients – Shank’s is hiring a Production Associate for 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts in Lancaster, PA. The role involves supporting GMP, sanitation, equipment verification, and line operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, food safety training, and manufacturing experience; benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, EAP, 401K, and PTO.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsiblefor upholding company policies and procedures including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), production lines, sanitation, cleanliness, equipment verification, and process validation.
• Promoteshealthycommunication between workers and management.
• Maintainsworkflow by applying steps of the process; monitoring control points; communicating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; and initiating and encouraging a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
• Maintainsqualityand safety by respecting organization standards.
• Ensuresoperation of equipment, which includes filling lines, filters, and reports issues.
• Maintainsasafeand clean work environment to all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Cleansandsanitizesequipmentandcontainersusedinproductiontoensurenocross-contaminationallincompliancewith established policies and procedures.
• Experienceworking effectively and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Abilitytomaintaina repetitive, consistentworkenvironmentwith the goalofefficiency andaccuracy.
• Perform LOTO of equipment to clean, and clear jams, and perform change-overs.
• Performsother duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS

• Willberequired to stand for an entire shift.

• Exposureto various odors throughout a work shift.

• Requiredto follow GoodManufacturing Practices[GMPs].
• Exposure to food allergens such as, but not limited to, milk eggs, tree nuts, wheat, and soybeans will occur.
