Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC is hiring for an Operator (Plant #26) on the 3rd shift in Long Prairie, MN. The role involves operating processing equipment, monitoring production, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Competitive wage with night and weekend differentials and a strong benefits package.

The successful candidate will work 12:00am–8:00am, Monday–Friday, with potential weekend hours. Forklift operation and basic computer skills are required, along with a commitment to team

Qualifications

• Experience in food/feed production preferred.
• Ability to read gauges and monitor temperatures, moisture and pressure.
• Basic computer literacy for SOPs and data entry.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate processing activities with production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Observe processing equipment via computer monitors to ensure product specs are met.
• Read gauges on monitors to ensure proper temperature, moisture, and pressure levels.
• Manually adjust steam valves as needed.
• Fill out required production paperwork every two hours.
• Understand SOPs and quality standards; collect and test samples.
• Follow lock-out tag-out and escalate to Maintenance when necessary.
• Operate bobcats, forklifts, and yard trucks as needed.
• Communicate processing activities to prevent errors.
• Maintain clean production floors and equipment.
