Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC in Long Prairie, Minnesota is seeking an Operator for Plant #26 on 3rd shift. The position starts at $27.13 per hour, with a $1/hour night differential and a $2/hour weekend differential, plus regular pay increases.

Qualifications

• Experience in food/feed production is a plus.
• Ability to read gauges and monitor production conditions.
• Understand SOPs and quality standards; collect and test samples.
• Willingness to work additional hours on weekdays or weekends.
• Must be 18 years or older for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Observe processing equipment via computer monitors to ensure product specs.
• Read gauges to verify temperature, moisture and pressure levels.
• Adjust steam valves and complete two-hour production paperwork.
• Follow SOPs, collect samples, and conduct basic quality checks.
• Operate forklifts and yard trucks to move materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in safety initiatives.
• Communicate processing updates to production personnel to prevent errors.
