Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC, located in Long Prairie, MN, is seeking an Operator (Plant #26) on the 3rd shift to join our Central Bi-Products team. The role focuses on monitoring production, ensuring product specifications, and maintaining safe, efficient operations.

The position offers a starting hourly wage of $27.13 plus a $1 night differential and a $2 weekend differential, with regular pay increases and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays,

Qualifications

• Experience in food/feed production is a plus.
• Able to stay alert during long production shifts.
• Able to read and interpret signs and operator manuals.
• Forklift certification required; forklift/trailer experience preferred.
• Able to read data trends and record information accurately.
• Must be 18 years or older for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor processing equipment via computer monitors to meet product specs.
• Read gauges to maintain proper temperature, moisture, and pressure.
• Adjust steam valves manually as needed.
• Complete required paperwork every two hours regarding observations and product in production.
• Follow SOPs and collect product samples for testing.
• Operate bobcats, forklifts, and yard trucks as needed.
• Communicate processing activities to production staff to prevent errors.
• Clean production floor and trailers using appropriate tools.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance; assist maintenance as needed.
