Job summary

Tate Inc. in Glasgow, KY is seeking a Production Supervisor-3rd Shift to lead production staff, ensure safe, on-time, quality manufacture, and promote growth of employees within the departments.

You will enforce safety, assign personnel across shifts, monitor daily performance, coordinate training, run pre-shift meetings, and partner with engineering to resolve issues while maintaining compliance with SOPs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus at least 3 years in manufacturing or 5 years in a multi-shift supervisor role.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, assign personnel across shifts, and monitor for timely and cost-effective completion.
• Strong understanding of production processes and equipment; proficient in ERP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the safety of employees and enforcing safety as a core value.
• Assigns personnel to meet production objectives across shifts.
• Communicates daily performance and ensures root-cause is known for any special-cause circumstances.
• Coordinates and tracks associate training and competency to promote cross-training and associate self-sufficiency.
• Runs daily pre-shift meetings and updates production plan as needed.
• Partners with Manufacturing Engineering and Plant leadership to correct ongoing production issues affecting quality and schedule.
• Develops and improves programs for safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Ensures all policies and SOPs are followed and reports safety or quality concerns.
