Job summary

Tate Inc. in Saint Paul, VA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead production employees, ensure the safe manufacture of quality products, and drive on-time delivery.

This role reports to the Plant Manager and emphasizes developing the skills of your team. The role requires at least an associate degree and several years of manufacturing or supervisory experience across multiple shifts, with strong knowledge of production processes and ERP/Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing; or 5 years successful supervisor experience in a multi-shift operation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, assign personnel across multiple shifts and monitor for timely and cost-effective completion.
• Strong understanding of production processes and equipment to direct personnel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is a core value and enforce safety policies.
• Assign personnel to meet production objectives across areas of responsibility.
• Communicate daily performance and identify root cause for special-cause events.
• Coordinate and track training for cross-training and self-sufficiency.
• Maintain daily pre-shift meetings and adjust production plan as needed.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Plant leadership to resolve production issues.
• Support programs for safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, MOPs, JSAs, and safety handbooks.
