Job summary

Dover Food Retail in South Chesterfield, VA, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift. You will lead team leads and hourly production staff, ensure a safe workplace, and drive production targets with quality standards.

You will develop standard work, coordinate with supply chain and quality, and push continuous improvement while maintaining the production schedule and timely response to issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role in manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead team leaders and hourly workers; maintain safety and productivity.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive continuous improvement; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule meeting quality and productivity targets.
• Manage inventory procedures for raw materials as needed.
• Coordinate with supply chain, quality, shipping to meet targets.
• Ensure timely response to operational issues affecting customers.
• Enforce company policies; maintain morale and accountability.
• Initiate hiring processes and maintain skills matrix.
• Capture productivity data and analyze causes of variance.
• Direct resources to meet production requirements and communicate decisions with data.
