Job summary

Smithsgroup2 in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to lead a night-shift manufacturing team, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production.

You will manage shift schedules, coach staff, enforce SOPs, monitor productivity, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with EEO and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Support safety policies and procedures within the plant.
• Safety accident investigation and reporting.
• Maintain a clean and safe plant.
• Responsible for meeting shift production goals.
• Constantly evaluate productivity and current staff to optimize production efficiency and meet schedules.
• Provide continuous feedback in an environment that fosters open communication.
• Manage production schedules, employee performance, payroll, attendance, time cards, training and disciplinary actions.
• Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, shift paperwork, time cards and production sheets.
• Responsible for quality control, make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications, reject product outside of specifications.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Communicate with other Shift Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures.
• Regular attendance is essential.
• Other duties as assigned

In this critical role, you will oversee night shift operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production workers.

Work Environment

The work environment is representative of those an employee would encounter while performing the essential job functions in a warehouse environment which may include loud noise levels, vibration, hot/cold temperatures, and moving objects or vehicles.
