Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead the 3rd shift on the Part Production team. You will guide technicians, plan setups, and ensure safe, efficient operations on-site five days per week. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, process optimization, and adherence to quality standards.

Experience with Lean and Six Sigma, plus a proven ability to develop and maintain process documentation, are highly valued. A BS in engineering or related field is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Track record of developing and maintaining process documentation.
• BS in an engineering or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside technicians and operators to fabricate components using Alloy’s novel metal manufacturing systems to build aluminum parts which include laser cutting, bonding presses, and sheet handling equipment.
• Manage resources effectively to support customer delivery requirements and also Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all times.
• Run and tune proprietary software programs to optimize production processes.
• Complete initial prototype builds, analyze results, and refine component designs.
• Work closely with Applications, Engineering, Software, and Manufacturing teams to run production builds.
• Perform quality assessments according to customer specifications.
• Provide feedback to identify problems and improve production throughput, cost, product quality and process safety.
• Maintain process documentation, including test procedures, routers, travelers, process flows, work instructions, and PFMEAs.
• Inform facility layout to ensure efficient and productive manufacturing flow.
• Manage a team of production technicians to ensure safe and efficient task completion.
