Johnson Controls, Inc. in Albany, MO seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a dedicated team on the 2nd shift (3:30 PM–1:00 AM, Mon-Thu with Friday OT). You will drive daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced plant.

You will oversee workflow, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with engineering on improvements and training staff to sustain operational excellence.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Availability to work 2nd shift (3pm - 1am - Mon-Thursday with Friday overtime).
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of a work team to meet daily production schedules in assembly/fabrication of sub-assemblies, parts, or units.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Control costs by minimizing scrap and rework; manage budget levels.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement cost reductions and scheduling improvements.
• Supervise, evaluate, and train the workgroup; assist in investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain production and employee records and ensure policy consistency.
• Apply LEAN tools (VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen) to improve Key Business Drivers.
