Job summary

Johnson Controls in Burlington, MA is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for the 3rd shift in Alloy’s part production facility. You will lead a hands-on team of technicians, train staff, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while maintaining process discipline.

This role reports to the Director of Part Production and involves deep involvement in setup sequencing and continuous improvement. The role requires 5 days on-site weekly, strong leadership, problem-solving, and a track

Qualifications

• HANDS-ON and enjoy gritty details of developing manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Prior direct or indirect leadership in a manufacturing setting.
• 5+ years of industry experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Track record of developing and maintaining process documentation.
• High-level of dedication, punctuality and reliability.
• Familiar with additive manufacturing, 3D printing, robotics, metal fabrication, or industrial automation.
• Proven ability to work with minimal additional leadership or engineering support in the factory.
• The knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• BS in an engineering or relevant field experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components using Alloy’s metal manufacturing systems.
• Manage resources to support delivery requirements and Lean practices.
• Lead by example and maintain a safe, efficient workplace.
• Run and tune proprietary software to optimize production processes.
• Complete prototype builds, analyze results, and refine designs.
• Collaborate with Applications, Engineering, Software, and Manufacturing teams.
• Perform quality assessments according to customer specifications.
