Job summary

RRD in the United States is seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator for the 3rd shift to set up, operate, and maintain multi-color offset presses. You will perform all make-ready tasks, check image alignment, and adjust color balance to meet strict quality specifications.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, minor repairs, and adherence to safety guidelines while delivering consistent print quality and efficiency on a production line.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of offset printing procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications to determine required materials.
• Knowledge of press capabilities to determine best use and adjustments.
• Understanding proper packing pressure for the job being run.
• Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
• Experience with routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Ability to adjust feeder and guides for proper timing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders and inspecting plates/cylinders
• Make color corrections and/or press adjustments to meet quality specifications
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, performing minor repairs as needed and periodic maintenance
