Job summary

RRD is seeking a skilled press operator to set up, adjust, and maintain multiple press systems. You will perform make-ready tasks, examine plates and cylinders, and ensure color accuracy prior to production runs.

The role includes routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment performing at peak levels. Shift-based schedule on B-Shift with Thursday, Friday, Saturday and alternating Wednesdays; starting pay ranges from $26.34 to $36.63 per hour with potential bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and determine press usage.
• Skill to set controls precisely and perform routine maintenance.
• Experience with basic repairs and calibration of printing equipment.
• Knowledge of packing pressure for printing pressure settings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
• Make-ready tasks including hanging plates, installing cylinders, and checks.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; replace worn parts as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
