Job summary

RRD is hiring a Digital Press Operator Apprentice for the 3rd shift to operate and maintain offset press equipment. The role requires making-ready tasks, color corrections, and meticulous quality checks to meet production standards.

The 3rd shift runs from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a rotating schedule, occasionally requiring weekends. Compensation starts at $20–$26 per hour, with a $3 shift premium and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and specifications.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and determine press usage and materials.
• Skills to perform precise settings and routine maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders; inspect plates and cylinders.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
• Clean, lubricate and maintain the press; perform periodic manufacturer-recommended maintenance.
