Job summary

Prattwhitney is hiring an entry-level Calibration Technician I to perform calibration processes in Bella Vista, IA. The role requires U.S. citizenship and offers foundational training in calibration procedures, equipment operation, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred; manual dexterity for assembly and calibration tasks.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting prints and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills (email, documents, internet) and ability to access prints or work instructions.
  • Basic shop math, including understanding of geometric tolerances.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
  • Effective communication with all levels of employees and management.
  • Basic knowledge of ACE principles and use of the ACE portal for issue documentation.
  • Basic manufacturing principles and process awareness.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate test stands to check nozzles, spray bars, and valves.
  • Set up and operate laser marker and printer equipment.
  • Record spray parameters and certify product conformance through testing.
  • Assist with disassembly, repair, and assembly of products.
  • Accurately complete production documentation.
  • Support and follow EHS, Quality, and CI guidelines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety activities.

Job description

Collins Aerospace is hiring an entry‑level Calibration Technician I. This role focuses on learning and performing calibration processes under the supervision of a certified calibrator at the 426 Bella Vista Dr, Bella Vista, IA location. The position is onsite, with a 3rd shift schedule (Monday‑Friday 10pm‑6am), and requires U.S. citizenship or lawful immigration status. A $1,000 sign‑on bonus is offered for external candidates. No security clearance is required.

What You Will Do
  • Set up and operate test stands to check nozzles, spray bars, and valves for spray quality, angle, and flow according to specifications.
  • Set up and operate laser marker and printer equipment in accordance with procedures.
  • Record spray parameters and certify product conformance through testing, maintaining performance records by serial number.
  • Assist with disassembly, repair, and assembly of products, following specifications.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and perform labor transitions.
  • Support and follow EHS, Quality, and CI guidelines set by leadership.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety activities.
  • Work extended shifts or overtime as required; training scheduled Monday‑Friday 6am‑2pm.
