Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Test Engineer- Manufacturing Quality for the 3rd shift in Louisville, KY. You will support factory test systems, develop new test methods, and lead improvements to ensure quality and uptime on the production floor.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or equivalent, 3–5 years’ experience with test equipment, and strong problem-solving skills; lean principles and data analysis are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent 5 years’ success in manufacturing quality disciplines.
• 3-5 years of troubleshooting and supporting manufacturing test equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing quality/NPI quality projects and process improvement.
• Experience interpreting data to solve problems with statistical analysis.
• Lean manufacturing exposure and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new and improved test methods for better capabilities and quality.
• Drive improvement projects through the CIB process and test parameter analysis.
• Act as first point of contact for test equipment issues on the production floor and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure spare parts and procedures are in place.
• Own calibration and preventive maintenance; ensure downtime is minimized.
