Job summary

Eaton’s GEIS division seeks a Maintenance and Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead maintenance and production activities in Edwardsville, IL, with planned relocation from Troy by 2027. The role emphasizes safety, equipment reliability, and on-time delivery while coordinating with multiple functions to optimize the product line.

The position requires a strong leadership background, shift flexibility, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or related field and minimum 1 year of leadership experience in manufacturing/maintenance
Safety knowledge and ability to lead safe equipment troubleshooting and recovery
Ability to work the 3rd shift (11pm–7am) and support rotating weekends/off-shift coverage as needed

Responsibilities

Lead safety and environmental compliance within the shift and enforce lockout/tagout, guarding, electrical, hot-work, confined-space, and permit requirements.
Supervise daily production activities, monitor safety, quality, output, downtime, and schedule attainment; adjust priorities as needed.
Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance with production to reduce downtime and ensure safe returns to service.
Communicate status and issues during shift handoffs; collaborate with Quality, EHS, Maintenance, Engineering, and Planning to meet milestones.
