Job summary

Anderson International Corp in Ohio seeks an experienced Manual Machinist to operate supporting equipment for CNC and manual departments. Qualifications

• 3+ years of manual machining experience on supporting equipment (broaching, drill press, saws, slab or planer milling).
• Good blueprint reading (keyways, hole patterns, slots, tolerances) and shop math.
• Able to use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators and go/no-go gauges.
• Ability to work 3rd shift on a consistent schedule; overtime as workload requires.
• Good attendance and safety record; follows AIC safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Motivated, accountable self-starter who can work with limited supervision on an off shift.
• Basic computer skills for clocking work orders (Sage 500 today, Epicor Kinetic in 2027).

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, routings and work orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, tooling and sequence of operations.
• Horizontal broach setup and run for keyways; select broaches/bushings; verify with gauges.
• Planer mill setup and cut ID keyways per drawing size/depth/position.
• Slab mill setup to produce keyways to specs.
• Drill press: drill, ream, countersink and tap with fixtures and clamps; locate holes from layout/drawing.
• Saw: cut stock to length; set blade speed and feed; maintain length tolerances.
• Manual turning and milling as schedule requires; operate lathes/mills as needed.
• Layout parts with height gauges; deburr and break edges for next operation.
• Change blades/cutters; report machine issues to maintenance.
• Clock on/off per work order; report labor correctly.
• Escalate routing/drawing issues via Process Issue Report.
• Communicate status to 1st shift at handoffs.
• Maintain clean, safe work area; report safety concerns.
