Job summary

Motor Technology, Inc. is seeking a Full-time 3rd Shift Manual Machinist I to operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, and mills, reading blueprints and maintaining tight tolerances.

You will set up machines, verify dimensions with micrometers and dial indicators, and assist with welding, repairs, and disassembly as needed. The role offers a 3rd shift with overtime and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating manual lathes and mills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, Vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
• Welding experience using GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW processes or related machining degree valued.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and determine critical dimensions for components.
• Set up and operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, and mills.
• Use precision measuring tools to maintain tight tolerances and determine speeds/feeds for finishes.
• Assist with welding operations and repair/disassembly projects.
