Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run machines including lathes, mills, drills, presses and CNCs to exact specifications. You will align fixtures, verify tolerances with calipers and gauges, and inspect finished parts for quality.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow English instructions and logs.
• Able to read blueprints and process sheets.
• Capable of using measuring devices and gauges.
• Physically able to handle heavy items and equipment.
• Demonstrates accuracy and reliability in production tasks.
• Works well with others and supports process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from sheets, blueprints or verbal directions.
• Install machine fixtures and align dies, punches, blades or fixtures.
• Set up and operate machines (lathe, mill, drill, press, CNC).
• Inspect finished products and measure tolerances with calipers/micrometers.
• Maintain safety, PPE use, and a clean, organized work area.
• Assist in other duties or departments as needed.
