Anderson Express is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the 3rd shift in Muskegon, MI. This hands-on role covers changeovers, tool offsets, loading programs, and part handling to meet tight schedules on customer-engineered programs.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years CNC operator experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a shop setting.
• Good math and analytical skills.
• Ability to count accurately.
• Good verbal communication and people skills.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, metrology, and GD&T.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform changeovers to new jobs as needed.
• Touch off tools and change tool offsets to ensure quality parts.
• Inspect and replace damaged tooling.
• Load programs for parts to be run.
• Properly load and unload parts into CNC machines.
• Check parts using metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
• Qualify good and bad parts and sort accordingly.
• Understand technical drawings and GD&T.
• Train operators as needed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with CNC Operators and Assembly personnel.
• Help reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Log time correctly in ERP.
• Log counts of good/bad parts accurately.
