Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift (Mon–Fri, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM) at the Duchaine facility in New Bedford, MA. Starting pay is $31.00 per hour, up to $37.00, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and operational procedures. Strong mechanical, fabrication, and electrical troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing setting.
• Vocational trade education counted as 2 years experience; prior Atkore experience may count toward required experience.
• Must be flexible to work other shifts to complete critical tasks.
• Experience with maintenance/repair of production machinery, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and plant infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and diagnose problems using manuals and schematics.
• Prepare maintenance reports and document actions taken.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventory; request needed parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with S&E policies.
• Contribute to team goals following Atkore’s Operating Principles.
