Job summary

Atkore International Group Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM) at the Duchaine facility in New Bedford, MA. The role ensures safe operation of machinery, performs preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots issues to minimize downtime.

You’ll work under the Maintenance Supervisor, maintain equipment, and document activities. Candidates should have 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, basic electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years? experience in manufacturing/maintenance environments.
• Experience with metal fabrication and plant infrastructure considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and determine repair needs.
• Repair parts and equipment using hand and power tools and basic machine shop equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and document maintenance activity.
