Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production machinery in our Core Print Solutions team. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and coordinate with operators and supervisors.

The role offers a 3rd shift from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days, and strong opportunities for growth plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2‑year technical college or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Computer literate with basic diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical information.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and hand/mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose machinery malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate repair status to operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers.
• Reconcile work assignments at end of the shift.
• Perform lubrication procedures and electro‑mechanical inspections for preventive maintenance.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace components such as motors, gearboxes, servos, switches/sensors, and drives.
• Read and interpret technical information and blueprints to repair or modify.
• Operate machine shop equipment and material handling equipment as needed.
