Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am) to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial mechanical systems. You will fabricate parts, align components, and ensure equipment operates within quality specs, with emphasis on ALARA safety to protect people and assets.

A training period on the 1st shift (6am–2pm) precedes transition to the 3rd shift. You will use CMMS, interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, and perform tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of industrial machinery maintenance experience.
• Broad technical training (high school plus 1–2 years of apprenticeship or applied trades training).
• Minimum two years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment; multi-craft preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain industrial automation machinery and robotics.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
