Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift (10pm-6am) at our Pennsylvania plant. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial mechanical systems and equipment, fabricating parts as needed to keep operations within spec.

You will read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, apply Lockout/Tagout, and work with hydraulics and pneumatics to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of three years of industrial machinery maintenance experience.
• Broad technical training (high school plus 1–2 years of apprenticeship or trades training).
• Minimum of 2 years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment; multi-craft preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and work-related experience acceptable.
• Organizational experience with CMMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain industrial automation machinery and robotics.
• Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Work with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Troubleshoot components and diagnose system failures.
• Have working knowledge of electrical components and concepts.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics.
• Perform other mechanical duties as assigned.
