Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for an on-site third shift in Montgomery, AL. Lead a maintenance team to execute planned, scheduled, and emergency work, ensuring safety and reliability of production operations.

You will guide technicians, manage work orders, and coordinate with planners to optimize downtime and changeovers while maintaining strict safety standards. Strong leadership and SAP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least five years of manufacturing or maintenance-supervision experience.
• Experience supervising and developing industrial maintenance personnel.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with drive systems, transmissions, and related mechanical equipment.
• Basic experience with industrial controllers and processors.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical wiring, electrical and mechanical devices, and control circuits.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial drives.
• SAP or comparable computerized maintenance management system experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team compliance with safety, quality, food safety, and environmental requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance work, equipment changes, and process changes have complete work orders and approvals.
• Attend daily operations shift-handover meetings to review events from the last 24 hours.
• Lead shift-handover meetings and review downtime and open actions.
• Represent maintenance during production meetings and communicate equipment priorities.
• Review planned job packages for labor, materials, parts, methods, permits, and priorities.
• Assign work orders and provide each team member with full workload at shift start.
• Partner with planners to manage backlog and priorities.
• Spend at least 60% of the shift on the floor engaging with mechanics.
• Direct and monitor maintenance work for safety, quality, time, and cost.
• Provide technical support to ensure work is completed correctly.
• Communicate schedule changes and conditions affecting maintenance.
• Manage payroll, overtime, attendance, tardiness, and attendance per site policies.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Support changeover performance and changeover-parts management.
• Document labor, materials, failures, actions, and equipment info in SAP.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe practices across shifts.
• Own continuous-improvement in equipment areas and OEE.
• Support reliability and innovation initiatives in production areas.
• Lead safety-awareness and information-sharing meetings.
• Promote engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
• Provide on-the-job training and identify skill-development opportunities.
• Train personnel on SAP procedures.
• Develop and maintain individual development plans and conduct feedback sessions.
• Strengthen the maintenance team's capabilities in plant utilities and production equipment.
