Job summary

Tyson Foods in Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment across departments of our pork processing facility, ensuring safe operations and adherence to Tyson policies.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance on conveyors, trolley systems, rendering machinery, hydraulics, welding and basic electrical work; ability to read manuals, document work, and work 3rd shift; must lift up to 60+ pounds and work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year OJT in maintenance.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic troubleshooting required.
• Willing to work all departments, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Able to lift 60+ pounds and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Must read and understand manuals and document work.
• Capable of completing computer-based training modules.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment across departments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Repair conveyors, trolley systems, rendering machinery, and hydraulics.
• Weld and perform electrical work; handle pneumatic/hydraulic system tasks.
• Read manuals and document work on scheduling sheets.
• Work safely in cold, damp or hot environments.
