Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment while ensuring a safe work environment. The role includes monitoring production equipment, performing repairs, and assisting with installation and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include documenting corrections, rebuilding equipment, and working with other maintenance staff across the facility. This position requires the ability to handle physical tasks, read schematics, and pass safety

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of maintenance experience; enrollment in a maintenance/mechanical program can be considered in lieu of experience.
• Ability to understand and follow Safety Rules (Lockout/Tagout) and OSHA standards.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays and across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the equipment during production and makes repairs or adjustments.
• Documents any corrections required and performs preventive maintenance where needed.
• Rebuilds equipment and assists with installation of new equipment.
• Maintains facility equipment and can grease, oil, and clean plant machinery.
• Troubleshoots mechanical problems using schematics and blueprints.
