Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Generalist to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment and assets on the 3rd shift. The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a biosecure facility.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of maintenance experience or completion of Industrial Maintenance Training, plus strong communication and physical endurance to handle demanding production environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of Industrial Maintenance Training program.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, climbing ladders, and lifting 50-70 lbs.
• Must comply with safety programs and wear PPE including hair net and beard guard.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets while ensuring a safe work environment.
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergencies.
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule and complete required reports.
• Possess ability to diagnose and repair with or without supervision.
• Assist other mechanics as needed and perform janitorial duties if required.
• Work in varying temperatures and environments; willing to train as needed.
