Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Machine Operator (Machinist) for 2nd shift to join a precision manufacturing team producing power transmission components. You will follow process sheets, install fixtures, set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses and CNC machines, and inspect parts for tolerances with calipers and micrometers.

This role demands math literacy, physical stamina, reliability, and teamwork in a non-climate‑controlled shop; schedule is Mon–Thu, 3:00

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from sheets, blueprints, or supervisor directives.
• Install machine fixtures to ensure safe operation.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines.
• Inspect operations and verify tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; use PPE; assist in other areas as needed.
