Job summary

Barnes Aerospace Ogden Division is seeking a detail-oriented Expander for third shift (10pm–7:30am) with a 17% shift differential. Responsibilities include reading station plans, setting up hot/cold expanders, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality while adhering to safety standards.

Requires 1–2 years of inspection experience and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Education requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience inspecting production parts using blue prints or gauges
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
• Able to work in a high temperature environment
• Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of metal finishing

Responsibilities

• Read and understand station plans, standard work, or instructions before starting work
• Perform tasks with minimal assistance and maintain quality parts
• Work in a team environment and provide constructive feedback
• Operate safely around chemicals, high temperatures, lifting devices and electrical equipment
• Set up and adjust expander processes per plan and instructions
• Inspect parts and measure first part to ensure quality before continuing
