Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, Ogden Division is seeking an Expander to support manufacturing operations on the 3rd shift (10pm-7:30am, Mon-Fri). The role requires reading station plans, using inspection tools, and ensuring parts meet blueprints and standards.

Safety, high temperature work, and lifting up to 80 lbs are involved. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of inspection experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with a team to achieve quality results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years’ experience inspecting production parts using blueprints or gauges.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Experience working in a high temperature environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand station plan, standard work or other instructions before performing work.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Work in a team environment and provide constructive feedback.
• Operate expander equipment safely and accurately.
• Set up jobs for Hot/Cold Expand per plans and standard work.
• Record measurements and document inputs correctly.
• Troubleshoot parts failing to meet requirements with engineering support as needed.
