Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the Lithia Springs site to support manufacturing operations on a 3rd shift. You will diagnose, repair and calibrate electro-mechanical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with training Level I technicians.

You should have an Associate degree and at least 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, plus knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out, electrical safety, and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field is desired.
• Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Must be willing to attend training sessions including out of state locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition.
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives.
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues.
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components.
• Enter all work completed in computer‑based maintenance program.
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms.
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA.
• Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills.
