Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Warrenville, IL seeks a maintenance/controls technician to install, troubleshoot, and program PLCs and HMIs. You will work with 480V three-phase power, servo drives, encoders and load cells, and maintain production equipment including conveyors and Laser Guided Vehicles.

Shift flexibility includes 2nd or 3rd shift. Strong PLC and electrical schematic skills are required; packaging equipment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience with PLCs and servo systems is required.
• Experience with maintenance on packaging equipment in manufacturing is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and control wiring is expected.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells, PLC and HMI programming and diagnostics.
• Modify PLC logic with ladder programming and integrate graphic HMIs.
• Troubleshoot and configure communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose equipment using electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance on laser-guided vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.
