Job summary

Foot Locker is seeking a 3rd shift Area Manager to lead operations at the Reno, NV distribution center. You will oversee safety, efficiency, and team performance while delivering continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will direct daily operations, coach teams, manage labor plans, and lead process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma tools. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge or training preferred.
• Ability to communicate across levels and coordinate teams.
• Experience with automated DC systems and RF technology is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Associates Degree or higher in Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach your team to achieve daily operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and safety standards.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools.
• Manage labor plans and make real-time decisions to optimize service and cost.
• Lead daily shift meetings and contribute to production planning.
• Troubleshoot WMS issues and support system improvements.
• Participate in audits and resolve findings effectively.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support financial planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and teamwork.
• Support hiring and talent development within your department.
