Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to lead the weekend Picking team in our Sparks distribution center. You will oversee safety, efficiency, and shift performance, coach the team, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced operation.

The role requires strong Lean/Six Sigma know-how, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to manage labor plans and real-time decisions. The schedule is Friday to Sunday with a weekday shift of six hours.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching teams, managing performance, and holding people accountable.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, including familiarity with warehouse management systems.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement practices.
• The ability to troubleshoot problems, improve processes, and deliver results.
• Confident handling difficult conversations across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach your team to achieve daily operational goals
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and safety standards
• Spearhead process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools
• Manage labor plans and make real-time decisions to optimize service and cost
• Lead daily shift meetings and contribute to production planning
• Troubleshoot WMS issues and support system improvements
• Participate in audits and resolve findings effectively
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support financial planning
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and teamwork
• Support hiring and talent development within your department
