Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Warehouse Counter to provide timely and accurate inventory accounting in a cold-storage facility.

You will help ensure product availability and correct stock levels while supporting safe, efficient warehouse operations. The role offers a Sunday-Thursday schedule with a 10:00 pm start, competitive pay at $21/hour, and comprehensive benefits beginning after 60 days, plus vacation, sick leave, holidays, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• Able to read, write and understand English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily location cycle counts and daily local purchase counts.
• Perform daily damage reporting and data sheet entry.
• Perform critical counts/shorts and warehouse out of stocks.
• Compile and submit daily out of stock/ship confirmation reports.
• Verify bill of lading and receiving quantity.
• Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor.

The Cycle Counter I provides timely and accurate accounting of inventory while obtaining product based on need.

Benefits You Can Count On

• Pay rate: $21.00 per hour.
• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
• Start time: 10:00 pm until the end of production. Once production is met, the shift is released.
• Position is located in a cold storage facility and requires prolonged exposure to cold temperatures.

What You’ll Do As a Warehouse Counter

• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job‑related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
